Franchise Or Start Pet Sitting Business On Your Own

Starting a dog walking allows you to be your own boss, and have the flexibility and independence of entrepreneurship. With the freedom and flexibility of dog sitting also comes the responsibility of caring for furry loved ones & their homes, and operating/scheduling around ever changing pet and human needs.

Becoming a part of a franchise offers a slick image and business concept, great logo and instant credibility and professionalism. Joining with an established business will allow you to follow their step by step methods to achieve the same success they did.  The company will teach you their tips and tricks which also allows you a good to place if you run into any questions or concerns.

The biggest problem with running a service business such as pet sitting is that it's hard to expand. People end up buying your time.  There can be only so many stops per day that can actually be achieved while completing the tasks at hand.  You're limited to how many places you can be at a time as well as how many hours in a day.  With or without franchising this will be the biggest problem for a pet sitter. A simple solution would be to hire more employees.

Running a pet sitting business requires paperwork so you can keep track of your customer's pets and their individual needs or instructions. You'll also need a basic sales agreement or contract as well as veterinary release forms. Some of these documents including a Contract/Service Agreement, Pet Information Form, Veterinarian Release Form, Visit Checklists, Statement for Payment
